Thailand

Have you ever travelled Thailand?  I have.  In 2008 I travelled to the town of Phuket for two weeks with a friend.  We had a ball of fun.  There is so much to do there and there is something for everyone.

 One great thing about Thailand is the cost.  You can do some unbelievable things and stay at some amazing resorts for not much money at all.   In Phuket we stayed at the Merlin Beach Resort and we found it great.  We loved that we were away from busy Patong but only a short way.  Only took 10 minutes to get into town if we wanted to go shopping.

When I was in Phuket I did a few tours.  I did one general tour around Phuket where we went and looked at temples, a museum, went for a canoe ride down the river, saw a snake show, went on an elephant ride, watched a monkey show and saw where pineapples grow.  These types of tours are a great way to introduce yourself to the place.  Another tour I did was on a speedboat to some of the island around phuket.  It was a bit rough on the day I went and my friend vomited all over this poor guys’ wheel chair.  My friend didn’t enjoy the trip so much but I had lots of fun and really enjoyed the snorkeling.  It was amazing.

One thing I would recommend doing if you travel to Phuket is to check out the show named Phuket Fantasea.  We had a great time that night.  The food was beautiful; the show was spectacular and enjoyable.

If you love to spend your time shopping or laying beside the pool relaxing or getting a massage or exploring new places then Thailand is the place for you.  There is something there for anyone.
